MARTIAL ARTS

For the more adventurous... Martial arts - is great for ; confidence/flexibility/speed and strength.
I am a pacifist and anti violence - but a strong believer in the right to self defence!
I once heard someone say "Practicing martial arts, is like practicing for an exam - that you hope you never take!"

Obviously, it takes years of practise... but as someone who has dabbled in a few styles over the years -
( 8 years shotokan karate, 1 year Aikido, 1 year of boxing/ kickboxing) I wholeheartedly recommend...
whatever style into yourself! Each of the different styles - brings something different to the table.
Aikido
Karate
Kick boxing

Yes, some are more (street) effective than others. For this reason - we now have "mixed martial artists".
Folks who study multiple styles. Makes sense really doesn't it?! The 2 main categories, are striking and grappling.
There are a few very interesting different channels on youtube that
explore the differences, strengths and weaknesses of the different styles...

Master Wong

Bruce Lee, was a genius. Not just a martial artist, but a philosopher too...
His style, " Jeet kun do" grew from an earlier style of kung fu "Wing chun" as taught to him by master "Yip Man".
